What's Brass on Tap?

Brass on Tap is our most important fundraising event each season and we're thrilled to return to the beautiful Como Lakeside Pavilion at Como Park in St. Paul! We're offering a delicious dinner, a concert and an ice cream social so mark your calendars now!

If you haven't visited the Como Lakeside Pavilion you're in for a treat! There's a large stage with a completely covered seating area, so we're planning to host the event rain-or-shine, but do stay tuned to our Facebook page in the event of a cancellation due to severe weather.

How much are tickets?

Individual Adult All-Inclusive tickets are $80 for the entire event with dinner or $20 for the concert and ice cream social event only (which begins at 7:30). Kids dinner tickets are $20 or $10 for the concert and ice cream social event only.

Purchase an $80 all-inclusive per-seat ticket or table sponsorship (which is 8 total all-inclusive tickets) and you'll get the best experience for the evening, including the following:

One free drink ticket and Happy Hour with CSB musicians beginning at 5:30. Your all-inclusive ticket includes one free drink ticket and once you've used it up beer, wine and nonalcoholic beverages will be available for purchase at the outdoor Pavilion bar.

A new-for-2023 delicious dinner catered by the Dock and Paddle including fresh salads, chef-carved London Broil or herb-crusted chicken and a host of yummy veggies. Check out the menu below!

Reserved preferred seating for the concert portion of the evening. If you purchase a table (8 seats) you can guarantee you and your crew can sit together all evening long!

Dessert at the ice cream sundae bar featuring Vanilla Bean Ice Cream with your choice of toppings like hot fudge, caramel sauce, crushed cookies and more!

A CSB themed swag bag to take home.

A $20 Ticket for adults ($10 kids 17 and under) is also available ONLY for the concert, fundraising and ice cream social portion of the evening only. These tickets do not include dinner, a drink ticket, Happy Hour access or the swag bag. If you purchase a $20 ticket you may arrive at 7:00 PM in advance of the 7:30 concert.

What's the event schedule?

5:30 PM - Doors to the pavilion open for All-Inclusive ticket holders for Happy Hour with CSB musicians

6:00 PM - 7:00 PM - Dinner service for All-Inclusve ticket holders.

7:00 PM - Doors open for Concert only ticket holders

7:30 - 8:30 PM - Concert portion of the evening

8:30 - 9:00PM - "Raise Your Brass" Fundraising event

9:00 PM - Ice Cream Social bar opens

10:00 PM - Event concludes

We're happy to provide ingredient details for the above menu items, just contact us if you'd like to know more. We aren't able to provide food items other than what's listed above, so if your food sensitivities or preferences don't match the menu we encourage you to eat before you arrive.

Do I need to bring anything?

Just a few things!

Cash/card if you want to buy a beverage at the pavilion bar. All-inclusive ticket holders get one free drink ticket

Cash/card to make a donation during the fundraiser portion of the event, or you can make a pledge and we'll contact you following the event.

Remember that the pavilion, while totally covered above, is still outdoors. Bring a sweater if the weather looks chilly.

What about bringing my kids?

Kids are totally welcome at RendezVan, however if you want them to eat dinner you'll have to purchase an additional All-Inclusive Adult ticket. We know it is expensive but the caterer charges full price even for for kids at the dinner.

If your 17 and under kiddo(s) wants to come just for the concert portion of the event you can purchase a kids concert-only ticket so they can enjoy the show...and eat the ice cream sundaes!

What's with the theme this year?

CSB is stoked to announce that we're anchoring our 15th season with our biggest-ever nationwide tour! This September we embark in our trusty (and a little rusty) 15-passenger Van “Falcor” to kick off 10 weeks of nationwide touring! So…get it…the VAN theme?

Anyway, we're hitting the road for six weeks this fall and four weeks in the spring to bring an all-new version of our “That '70s Show” program to audiences across the country. Along the route we'll be visiting schools and older adult residences whenever we can, bringing our signature outreach programs on the road with us!

A lot goes into a 10-week nationwide tour. From music creation and rehearsal of the new concert and outreach programs to keeping the van topped off with $5/gallon gas to who-knows-what (hopefully not hitting another deer with the van!) we are expecting expenses to be much higher than normal…and that's where you come in! Support from our donors has always made it possible for our programming to happen and next season we're relying on you to help us bring our music to thousands of people across the country who have never heard the CSB.

So at RendezVan on June 23rd hop on the CSB bandwagon and help us raise money in support of our tour next season! Give the gift of CSB music to communities across the nation without having to ride around in our van for 10 weeks!
